Powered by the u-blox M10050 high-frequency receiver, the MG-A01 supports all major L1 GNSS constellations, including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou. By tracking up to 32 satellites simultaneously, it provides faster position locking, improved navigation accuracy, and reliable performance even in challenging environments.

The module features a premium 25 × 25 × 4 mm high-gain ceramic patch antenna, ensuring excellent signal reception and enhanced satellite tracking. This results in stronger GNSS performance, quicker cold starts, and more stable positioning during long-range flights and autonomous missions.

An integrated QMC5883L electronic compass provides accurate heading information, enabling smooth waypoint navigation, precise Return-to-Home (RTH), loiter, and autonomous flight operations. The combination of precise GNSS positioning and reliable compass data improves overall flight safety and mission accuracy.

The MG-A01 also includes built-in flash memory, allowing configuration parameters to be retained even after power loss. This eliminates the need for repeated setup after disconnecting power, saving time during installation and maintenance.

Why M10 Ultra

As we all know, M10 is the latest generation of GNSS receiver, with higher startup speed, positioning accuracy, and more satellites. But at the same time, M10 (5Hz) sacrifices the navigation update rate compared to M8 (10Hz) and M9 (25Hz). In order to solve this problem, we integrated an Ultra version of the M10 chip into MG-A01, which runs with a higher frequency, make it possible to achieve 10Hz navigation update rate while using 32 satellites.

In order to solve the problem of unstable navigation update rate of M10, the developer team of ardupilot forcibly limited the number of satellite by turning off BeiDou B1L and GLONASS. In fact, they could choose to use the M10 Ultra without making any changes.
